I wonder at times why someone who was always a half full type of poster, who seemed to know more than most, over a short period of time can suddenly turn into being negative and always looking at worst case scenarios. Has something happened over the summer?
And don't just stop it there, BB !!
It serves for posts on here, too. Question an opinion (wanting more info, or merely justification) and you can also be classed as demonic. I've pretty much kept my distance from C&B this last week ...... It just didn't make for pleasant reading - in any form. I love a reasoned debate - but all you really need is to agree or disagree with a point of view. My Son in Law allowed my eldest Grandson on C&B as a guest up until about 6 weeks ago ...... My S I L has since put a parental block in place. We should be proud of the diversity expressed on C&B ..... and not attack one another just to point score.

im just in a bit of a grump with the way the club has gone about things this last six month

*can I add I have no inherent bias around the club
We're all in the dark and most of us apprehensive. There's a lot less 'rumour' coming out of the club, which is professional, but did lead to us fans feeling that we had missed the boat a bit.

Until we get to the end of August, it will be difficult for us to form opinions on the new players and the new team.

We're just going to have to trust the club to do it's best in terms of recruitment and budgets.

The new recruitment strategy does also lead to blurred thinking as it feels we are planning for 2 years time.

We're all a bit up in the air, just some are more willing to see how things pan out over the next 4-5 months, until the next window.

If we're 12th at Xmas then your points will have been valid.

You also said at the time that KP was average lg1 player and you agreed with fordy that Evans would be preferable to McCall.

I'm not saying the new players are going to be any good, I don't know.. but equally I can't say they will be average or crap.
All I'm saying to you and others who dismiss players before a campaign starts is wait until a few games into the season, by then I think we can all say whether things are gonna work out.

If this makes me a happy clapper then throw me a fish and I'll perform like a seal..

Utterly stupid comparison

A footballer runs 7 miles during a game whereas a tennis player as pointed out yday probably only covers about 2 miles during three sets.
A tennis player is also not getting elbowed in the face by josh Magennis or crunched in the ankle by Rory McArdle every five minutes
Fair comments, but I see tennis players as the ultimate athletes - speed of body, speed of mind, strength in both upper and lower body, stamina to keep up a pace over two hours that a footballer could never dream of, agility.

A footballer can easily "catch his breath" by going missing for long period - defenders when we attack, attackers when we defend etc. Tennis players are often finished by 30.

Only my view, but I would say it's a far bigger achievement for a tennis player to win Wimbledon at the age of 36 than it is for a centre half to cope with L1 football at the same age.

Seriously, what makes you say that? When we signed Lachlan Barr (for 6mths) and Grodowski (for 12mths), it clearly stated they were being signed for the development squad.

Why do you think he will he fast/tracked into McCall's plans?

What was your thoughts on Stuart McCall playing Midfield for Bradford in the premiership at the age of 36-38?
To be fair, (and possibly a little bit pedantic) Stuart was 35 when we kicked off our stint in the PL and just short of 37 when we exited it.

Greer if he signs will probably be the only signing initiated this summer from Stuart. He obviously knows the player his strengths and weaknesses. They will know his past history and the fitness people will have assessed him in Austria. So with his neck on the line he must think he is capable of doing the job

What do you think the development Squad is for? I think it is a vehicle for young players like him and Patrick to force their way in. I have no idea whether or not Barr is good enough yet but he might be

Given your close relationship with the Scunny chairman and insider knowledge of BCFC, apparent displeasure in changes at the club in the last six months or so, would it be fair to pose a thought that until recently you had some sort of matchday role at BCFC and have posted on here under a user name starting with S, ginger hair and have a close association with a famous brand of Jam ?

He seems to be a decent poster to me but I disagree with him on this. I like the way the club is now able to look towards the future as well as the present.
Of course nobody is happy to lose good players but we had little chance of resigning Marshall and Meredith.. I was a bit disappointed they didn't do more to bring McArdle back. However I like the way the club has been proactive in prising good players from clubs who didn't want to lose them And I am more than pleased with the formation of the development Squad. We are on the right lines

That riddle reminded me of the TV show 3-2-1-no one ever got the main prize cos the riddles were so hard
