They both state they will not pour more money into a black hole at VP - fair enough but it's been like that since 1903 so whats the difference now ? - some lads down the road from me have given up on the cause but that's since we dropped out of the Championship ( as it's called now ) .
Are there many other loyal fans falling by the wayside or is it natural wastage like mother nature ?
They started questioning my attendance - which i can answer by saying I'll always be at a City match if finances and family matters allow , maybe i'm pouring my money down a hole but i still get a buzz about City - although the dire home form has led to acceptance of defeat as a near guarantee at VP.
This post is not a direct criticism of anyone but I'm trying to establish what caused these 2 stalwart fans to say enough is enough.
They both visit the sites enough to suggest there is still some pull for the club.

You go through life and circumstances change - football aint the biggest priority quite often, i've gone through such circumstances and will again.....although i'm gonna make sure where possible i continue to get a season ticket, that way when we have a snapper (;)) i can at least go to the home games!!
Chuckle and Prawny don't seem to be going through any significant circumstances which are stopping em - they're just fed up with it - just as its easy to get into the routine of going to watch em - its just as easy to get out of it!!

Some folk think its a waste of money pouring pints of lager down your neck....

Some also think its a waste of hard earned watching City....

Me - i like to do both....:D

To me its more than just the game - its the socialising, having a beer and a laugh - and meeting up with mates - IMHO thats even more important than who's running the club or how were playing.....

BTW - i'll explain the winky wink when i see you next mate!!

You are Mugs. What other business in any walk of life would you still give custom to that treats you the with contempt and dishonesty that has been the Hallmark of the Rhodes/Gibb or Rhodes/Brown/Steering Comittee tenures at VP? None... that's how many!!! This is because you are also Loyal and the Keystone Cops at VP aren't daft, they know that there is only a hairline fine line between Loyalty and being a Mug where footy is concerned.

I admit I am not loyal to BCFC anymore.. I noticed that when I was attending matches and when I couldn't fit in a game around my shifts at work, there was always the odd snidey suggesting part timeness etc. At the time, I was fooled and bothered by this. But the penny eventually drops, the "I get to all the games code of honour"...is bollocks. It's something for not too bright people with not much else to do, to wear like a medal. The part time jibes nowadays just make me laugh. Cos put simply...I just don't give a fuck. I honestly believe the real fools are the ones still going and getting fuck all back for their "support", least of all respect from Junior and Co.

Like I said on the OMB I am well over a hundred knicker a month better off for not shoveling me money into the pockets of arsewipes who treat me like a cnut! I have found more diverse ways to spend my free time and am enjoying this immensley. For example, between now and the end of April, I have five gigs lined up with potentially another three if I can get time off. I am looking forward to these in a way I never looked forward to going to City for the last five years or so and I wouldn't have been able to afford these concert tickets were I still a mug giving my money to the Keystone Cops.

If any City fans are happy to accept this shoddy lack of consideration that comes their way, just so their "I go to every single game" medal stays shiny or for whatever reason , that's fine, that's your perogative. Like it's my perogative to put my dignity first by considering being branded "disloyal" by a few halfwits who barely know me or don't even know me at all, is a far far lesser evil than actually being known I am a Mug to myself and folk who do matter.

I will tell you this once more.....I will not put anymore money in the tills at VP for anything, not so much as a car sticker or a keyring till Brown Rhodes and co have gone AND the fans are reinstalled as the club's main asset (like they are at EVERY football club on the planet). Wether we get to the play offs, promotions, cup finals or whatever, I am finished with giving another cent owards their continued mismanagement of the Club I chose to and now choose not to support. Given Juniors dire track record at the helm, the club will probably end up going to the wall and that probably means, I've watched my last game at VP. That saddens me, but it's not the end of the world is it??

Fair do's Chucks but why the
"You are Mugs."
Your choice, my choice. We are both right. Its a personal choice. As it happens I am pig sick of the sh1te down at VP and maybe will stop the season ticket and pick and mix, which our team seem to do on a regular basis.

You opinion Chuckle and your entitled to it, don't agree with the mugs coment though people choose how they spend their money and it that means meeting up with friend on a Saturday to have an all day session and watch the footy thats their choice.

Sounds like the oven may well have a small bun in it already!!
Apologies to QB for the oven reference.
It may well have Kev ;) - very, very early days yet though - only 10 weeks gone mate!!

As far as what you say Chucks i totally understand, like you i have mates who don't even know what division City are in and what the name of the ground is, and sometimes when they have stuff planned i feel like i've missed out!! Me Ma and Pa also have a reet place at the coast which is never used - i miss out on some cracking free weekends out there no doubt because i watch City home and away!! When (if) the young un comes along in August - i've made a concious decision not to go to any away games next season (bar T'udders if they're still in this division) and i know i won't miss it - one of the reasons i stepped down from the Shippers!! Overrall its not a bad way to spend your money though - even when the team do play shit, i have to say i don't have any other matchday complaints apart from the team performance, the staff in the BB are courtious and efficient now and its a good day out - as i mentioned its a good social event for me and a routine that i know i'll be glad to keep when i'm up to me neck in nappy's.....

BTW the mugs comment is harsh - you like supping your ale - doesn't spending over £2 on sommat you piss out 20 minutes later make you a mug? In some folks eyes - yes....(not me i hasten to add :D)

Ok...I'll rephrase that. If to any one person that continues to go to every game who is stuck so far up their arses with their "superior attendance", I am, in their opinion, a Part Timer...Then in my opinion, they are Mugs for subsidising folk who take the pish and treat them with contempt.

But tell me one thing. Imagine this; If I went in a pub every night, where the Beer was without fail shit and overpriced, the staff were usless and rude, there was no atmosphere, the jukebox and pool table etc kept taking my money with no credits . Then I point all this out to the landlord who answers me by calling me a cnut, gives me a kicking and steals me wallet before throwing me out.

If I went back the next night and the next and the next and the next for the same treatment....would you think fair do's or think I was a Mug??

Football is waaaay different to that Dave and you know it!!!! To most folk it isn't a business - its a duty and way of life - your right, folk do take advantage of this - but no different to every single football fan in this country - whether that be Chelsea, Man Utd or Liverpool!!

Baldy - cheers for the wishes mate, i'll pass em on.....i meant to keep it quiet for a while longer yet but i'm unfortunately a "cyber gobshite"....:)

I do know it yes.....the sad thing is that Junior and Jimbo also know it big style and wheras I'd have been prepared to give a little leeway in, how shall I phrase it, in seeing if they can test our loyalty through our wallets, they unfortunatley have and still are taking the piss far too much.
