Russell Howarth - 6 / 10

Could of been better positioned for the goal, but it was a nicely taken free kick that bent around the wall and into the bottom corner, if only Russell had been as quick as Davidson to save Pettas in the first half.

Richard Edghill - 6 / 10

Not his best game in a city shirt, looked a bit out of sorts - maybe knackered?

Andrew Taylor - 6 / 10

Gone from Wonder kid to Lewis Emmanuel style in 1 game. His passing was disastours at times.

David Wetherall - 6 / 10

Were the guys at the same game as me last night who gave him man of the match?

Mark Bower - 6 / 10

Another average game, should of buried his chance in the first half.

Ben Muirhead - 7 / 10

Scared there left back to death in the first half, not in it at all in the second and should of been switch to the left flank.

Steven Schumacher - 7 / 10

Started to show signs of coming back into form but was caught out a few times.

Lee Crooks - 8 / 10 (My man of the match)

The amount of times he saved the defence in the first half, and for the first time in a long time i've heard the fans appauld him when he gets stuck in and comes out with the ball. Waiting for beer and parrot to throw some abuse my way now.

Bobby Petta - 6 / 10

Typical wingers game, hugged the touch line but did get stuck in for a ten minute period in the second half.

Dean Windass - 6 / 10

He doesn't even have to try or play well to know he'll get 90 minutes, Todd has got to start pulling this player off when hes having a stinker. Nice header on for the goal tho.

Steve Claridge - 7 / 10

To say he's an old fart he gave it his all and should not off gone off!

Subs:

Lewis Emmanuel - 6 / 10

Stop playing this guy as a fucking winger!

Andy Cooke - 6 / 10

Very unlucky not to score again!

Danny Cadders - Not enough time to get a rating.

He showed he wanted it tonight in the five minutes he had but couldnt really get going.

---------------------------------------

Ref - 1 / 10

Send the moron back to the unibond league thanks.

Was it Deano who headed it on, I was sure it was Crooks.

It looked like Deano to me, but i could be wrong .... if it was Crooks then well done fella ....

I thought Crooks was brilliant last night, and I didn't hear people shouting "get him off" for a change, maybe those people who say he should be a rugby player are eating humble pie now?

No there to busy calling for Todds head, I'd like to know who they want as manager rather than just calling him shite etc.

Crooks 7 - MOTM again, solid as a rock.
Petta 5 - The goal and last 20 minutes were much, much better.
Claridge 6 - To half of the six rating, very hard working.
Windass 4 - ha ha ha, hes faking injury isnt he funny DEANO, DEANO legend.

Cooke 6 - Worked hard but had little help from Windass.
Emanuel 5 - Little impact
Cadds (no rating) - Not enough time

Todd 5 - Stick with him, but the subs were odd yesterday.

With regards to his substitutions, He went and tried to win the game at the end, one thing that he has been critised for not doing before.
The sub of Cadders for Edgehill was going to be made before we equalised and he still carried it out when we equalised to try and win the game. If it had come off there would of been people on here today saying what a inspiration sub it was but because it didn't we had the usual garbage of sack him he's shite.

Im not having a go at him Thorney and im not joining the Todd out brigade. I also agree that taking Eggy off for Cadders was the right choice, but taking Ben and and Claridge off was just plain daft.

If i gave Todd and 6 or 7 out of ten for that performance last night i would have been telling lies.

Disclaimer - I rate Todd highly and my comments are based on one game and not part of an agenda to get the manager sacked.

Howarth 3 - Doesn't command his box, rarely came for crosses, very poor positioning for there goal
Taylor 4 - Poor distribution- looked quite panicky on the ball
Edghill 4 - Poor distribution- looked quite panicky on the ball
Bower 5 - Missed a sitter at start of second half
Wethers 6 - Played ok, didn't have much to do though really
Crooks 8 - broke up there play well and good distribution
Schuey 7 - seemed to get involved more going forward in 2nd half
Muirhead 6 - looked excellent when running at there left back, didn't do it often enough though
Petta 6 - looked excellent when running at there right back, didn't do it often enough though. Exclennt free kick saved by Davison
Claridge 7 - Looked good with back to goal
Windass 5 - another poor showing from deano, todd really needs to grow some balls and sub deano when he's not performing

Emmanuel 7- good battling to get corner and good delivery from corner for goal
Cooke 6 - Ok from Cooke, looked more suited than deano for physical play against ther big defenders
Cadamateri 6 - Not on for long but got stuck in well, terrible delivery from right wing in injury time when there were 4 in the box

Howarth-3, when is ricketts back, we really need him
Edgehill - 5, worst performance
Taylor - 5, Ditto
Bower - 6, did what he does, though mised a gilt edge chance
Weathers - 6, did what he does fine
Muirhead - 6, quiet by his standards, maybee because they doubled up on him
Petta - 6 woefull for he most part, had a good 10 minite spell though
Schuey - 6, he's slowley getting there i think
Crooks - 9, MoM - who picked weathers??
Deano - 4, Did absolutely nothing at all (apart from missing a sitter), stick him on the bench Todd
Clardige - 7, did quite well considering

cooke - 6, tried his best but didn't really get any chances
Emmaunel - 5, this guy is not a bloody winger
Cadders - 5, though only had 3 or 4 minutes

Ref-9, did surprisingly well compared to other refs (though he still got most decisions wrong!)

Howarth 5 - Is getting better at coming for crosses, but should've done better for the goal.
Edghill 6 - Fairly solid defensively, but struggled to give Muirhead good support, and his passing was woeful at times.
Taylor 5 - His worst game for us. Didn't look comfortable on the ball at all.
Wetherall 7 - Dealt with everything that Colchester threw at him. Solid performance.
Bower 7 - See Wetherall.
Muirhead 5 - Looked scared to take on the defender, crossing was poor. Hopefully it's just a blip.
Crooks 7.5 - Played the holding role well, and a nice flick on for the goal.
Schumacher 7 - Seems to be getting back to full fitness.
Petta 7 - Much improved. Ran at the full back a lot, lovely skill and cross for Deano's disallowed goal. Disappeared in the second half until he was switched to the right. Not the hardest finish in the world, but Bower missed one from a similar position.
Claridge 6.5 - Worked hard, didn't get much luck.
Windass 5 - Ineffective in the air, missed a sitter in the first half when he elected to take a touch instead of shooting first time. Link up play was quite good though.

Subs:
Emanuel 6 - Got at the full back, nice delivery for the goal.
Cooke 6 - Worked hard again.
Cads 6 - Looked up for it, but didn't get enough time. His one cross was shocking though.
