A CB pairing of NKP and Killa hardly equates to turmoil? 1 conceded in 2 games. We need an extra body but happy for that pairing to continue!!!

Is it ok to say that Cullen won't be a big loss yet?

Watched him against Leeds and have to say I dont miss him. He was unadventurous and played side passes all game.

Said all along he wont be a big loss for what he did. Too early to say but Reeves looks a player.

I think he holds the ball well and he brings other people into the game . Just because he's gone and now plays for the bell ends over the hill we shouldn't underestimate how well he did for us last season.

All keepers make mistakes that lead to goals.
You don't drop them because their mistake leads to a goal. Keepers would be dropped on a regular basis over a season if that was the case.
No, Doyle is an accident waiting to happen ATM. His basic errors are made not while under pressure and I wouldn't expect them of any professional goalkeeper. He's making too many mistakes and they undermine the confidence of his team mates and they will cost us.
He's badly out of form and needs to be taken out of the firing line. I Rouven deserves a chance.

Sorry but I must take issue with the notion that the 3rd division is "tin pot". This is a not uncommon comment on here. Just because we spent a few years in the 2nd division in the last 30 years, and 2 years in grotesque premier land, does not make the 3rd tier crap. For long periods of time since the first world war it has been a level to aspire to for City, and the basis of some tremendous seasons memories.

There is an argument to be had that this is our long term natural level.

There have been some terrific games at this level since Phil Parkinson revived the club, in front of previously unimaginable attendance's.

It is a sight better than fighting against relegation from the football league.

So all keepers make mistakes that lead to goals and that's no reason to drop them. But Doyle makes lesser errors that don't lead to goals and therefore should be dropped.
    Genius logic.

The clamour for Rouven is interesting. He has barely played and therefore I can't understand this steadfast belief that he deserves a game just because Doyle has had a couple of shakey moments.

Doyle was pretty solid last season and Rouven didn't get a look in. The grass isn't always greener.

Don't dismiss him. They are different types of player. Reeves is GOOD at what he does

It's a tidy ground and fit for purpose EXCEPT for the away end.

Here you go @Bronco - actually he was just in the area.

My point would be - he did well to harry the defender and win the ball. Nicely round the keeper. Poor finish but let's give him a run of games and I'm more confident he'll have a bigger impact than Hiwula had.

    They can't win can they?

6 points and it's the oppositions fault?

It's my team, we won , don't give a feck how

Whose shoes do you want to be in ours or Blackburns after two games?

Well, from my perspective, Im "clamouring" for him to play because he's our only choice!! I can't argue for another option because there isn't one!

@CT Bantam 's right - he didn't need to dive on the ball but he did and it went for a corner which is a problem as their corners were good and Doyle just stands on his line and doesn't command his area.

Then the miss control which ended up bouncing towards the goal and was only a metre or so short of an own goal was another example.

Personally I'm just sick of his poor kicking. Every other goalkeeper kicks it further than him and it handicaps us. His throwing out yesterday was also pedestrian. Twice Tony Mc had to wait for the ball to get to him before trying to run up the line. He got caught both times and it went for a throw.

So, yes, give Rouven a chance or buy another if you want but we need to change it. In any case he is not a Championship keeper so if promotion is the aim there's an argument that replacing him now and bedding in a new one while we're towards the top of the table is better.
